Release 2025-02 (April 2025)
In the second release of 2025, we revamped the front end of the Assets module and concentrated on enhancing the foundational aspects of Projects. Additionally, we updated the front-end framework to ensure it aligns with the latest technological advancements
Assets
Updated UI
The updated UI will be introduced gradually over the coming weeks. You may not see the new interface immediately on the release day. This phased rollout helps us manage the rollout more effectively.

The Updated UI has a number of new improvements.
Sidebar
One of the most noticeable changes is the new side-bar.

The sidebar enables you to navigate between all assets or watched folders and includes the familiar approval and saved filters. We have removed the folder tree from the sidebar, as it was not an efficient navigation method, especially for customers with complex folder structures. Navigation is now streamlined through the breadcrumb.

Search has moved
The search feature has been relocated to the right side of the screen, with advanced search now occupying a more prominent position. While the search functionality remains unchanged in this release, we acknowledge there is room for improvement. A rework of the search functionality is scheduled for the next release.
Updated menu bar
The old menu bar featured a mix of text and icon buttons. We have now made a clear distinction between primary and secondary actions. Primary actions are displayed as text in prominent, easily visible buttons, while secondary actions are represented by clear icons with tooltips.

Updated cards
We re-designed the cards to show information more clearly. By default a card contains the following elements:

The bottom controls allow you easily see the approval request status or which baskets an asset is used in.

Open and download versions
It is now possible to download or open older versions of assets in the viewer via the versions tab of the file details:

Order of Asset properties
Previously, asset properties were displayed in the order they were created. Administrators now have the ability to change the order in which these properties are shown.

Projects
Reloop improvements
Iterative processes are crucial for achieving optimal results within a business workflow. DOQMIND embodies this principle through approval reloops. During a reloop cycle, all tasks within the loop are duplicated and restarted.
In more complex processes, this could lead to too many duplicated tasks, making process management challenging. To address this, we have refined the reloop logic to ensure only the necessary tasks are considered for reloop when a task is rejected.
The new behavior will be automatically applied to your existing templates, meaning all new projects will start with this updated behavior. To ensure continuity, ongoing projects will continue to use the existing behavior. You can view the behavior in the "Which tasks need to be restarted?" parameter. For running projects, you have the option to manually switch the behavior from legacy to current if needed. The legacy method will be deprecated in the future.

Recycle numbers sometimes indicated separately, and sometimes added as an extension to the task name (so ‘approval.3’). With this new release the recycle number is always separated from the task name.
New multi-select form type
Previously, forms allowed users to select a single item using radio buttons or select lists. Radio buttons were ideal for short lists, while select lists were better suited for longer lists. With this release, we have introduced a 'multi-select' control, enabling users to easily select multiple items from long lists without cluttering the form.
Additionally, it is now possible to change components from radio buttons to select lists or from checkboxes to multi-select controls.

Choose asset tasks now shows folder structure
The "Choose Assets" task now displays the folder structure, providing more context than just showing the assets. This enhancement allows you to select assets across multiple folders.

Performance improvements
We optimized the way we calculate the conditions in which tasks can start. This results in noticeable improvements when creating new projects or when finishing tasks.
Removal of text management
Text management was a feature that allowed to manage label translations within DOQMIND. The feature is no longer used and has now be removed from the platform. Existing text assets are exported as word and excel and are available in the Assets module, and the projects' audit trail remain available.
