Logs of rights changes
Every change to a folder or asset's rights configuration is logged, so there's always a record of who changed what, and when.
What gets logged
-
Adding a user or group to the rights configuration on a folder or asset, recorded with the user or group name.
-
Removing a user or group from the rights configuration, recorded with the user or group name.
-
Changing a right's state for a user or group, recorded with the right name, old state, and new state, for example "View: Inherit to Allow".
-
Resetting all rights on a folder or asset, where every entry removed as a result is logged as its own separate entry, consistent with how other bulk actions are logged.
Each entry captures the standard attributes used across DOQMIND's activity logging: timestamp, actor, and the target folder or asset's name and path at the time of the event.
Where to find them
Where a rights-change entry is visible depends on whether it happened on an asset or a folder:
-
For an asset, the entry appears in the Logs tab on that asset, alongside its other activity, and in the centralized activity log.
-
For a folder, there is no per-folder Logs tab. Folder rights changes are only visible in the centralized activity log.
The centralized log is described in Activity Logs.
