Languages
The Languages section in Administration allows company administrators to control which languages are available to users in their environment.
Where to find it
Go to Administration (via the cog-wheel icon in the top navigation) and select General from the sidebar. The Languages section is located on this page.
This section is only visible to users who have the Manage Languages right enabled. See User Rights for more information.
How it works
Languages in DOQMIND are managed at three levels:
Platform level — DOQMIND staff controls which languages exist in the system overall.
Company level — Your company's account has a set of languages made available by DOQMIND, including a locale (the default language). This is configured by DOQMIND and not changeable in-app.
Administration level — Within your environment, you can activate or deactivate individual languages from the company-level set. This is what the Languages section controls.
The languages you activate here determine:
Which languages users can select in their Preferences
Which languages are available when creating or editing a user
Which languages can be added to email templates
Which languages are available in baskets (the locale is used as the default)
Activating and deactivating languages
The Languages section shows a list of all languages available at the company level. Each language can be toggled on or off.
Activating a language makes it selectable by users and available in email templates.
Deactivating a language removes it from the language selection dropdown in Preferences and in user creation. Users who currently have that language assigned are automatically switched to the company locale (the default language).
Note: If a user's language is deactivated while they have an active session, their interface will only fully switch to the new language after they log out and log back in. Until then, some labels may appear in the old language.
