Release 2024-11 (2024.5)

In the November release of DOQMIND, our primary focus was on the Assets module. We’ve completely revamped the baskets module and introduced the ability to watch specific folders. Improvements have also been made to the Upload modal for both assets and projects. Additionally, several minor enhancements have been implemented to boost the overall usability of the DOQMIND platform.

Generic improvements

New uploader

The upload modal has been updated in both Assets and Projects. This new version enhances the experience of managing asset versions. Specifically, during the upload and approval cycle, users will find previous versions of assets more easily accessible. Additionally, the process for creating new versions is now more visually intuitive than ever.

Checks when deactivating users

Customers of DOQMIND have the ability to create, modify, and deactivate users within the administration module. However, deactivating a user may cause complications in DAM+ approvals and project workflows, as some tasks might not be assigned to an active user anymore. To mitigate this, we now conduct checks to ensure that all responsibilities are reassigned before a user is deactivated.

Assets

Basket improvements

The baskets module has undergone a significant overhaul. This module is designed for sharing assets with your partners, and the updates greatly enhance the audit trail, providing detailed insights into both the content and actions taken. You now have improved visibility into which baskets have been sent, and you can easily revoke access to links that should no longer be active.

Additionally, recipients can now request a new download link if the original one has already been redeemed.

Watched folders

As an Assets user, you can now monitor specific folders. By watching a folder, you’ll receive notifications about any changes that occur, including the addition, modification, or removal of assets.

Other assets improvements

You can now rename assets from a context menu, as well as from the file details modal.
When creating a new folder from a ‘tree’ menu, you can now immediately open the created folder without browsing the entire folder structure.
The external link feature was deprecated. This feature allowed you to add a link to an external asset without actually adding the asset. The feature was was rarely used and is now no longer available.

Projects

Delete project rights

The “delete project” permission has been divided into two distinct rights. You can now grant a user the ability to delete only their own projects or to delete all projects. Previously, having “delete project” rights allowed a user to remove any project within the system. With the new “delete own projects” right, users will only be able to delete their own projects.

Other improvements

For this release we have focused on optimizing the performance of project task completion. This improvement is particularly noticeable in complex project templates.
