Release 2024-06 (2024.3)
This update brings a host of new features and enhancements designed to improve your DOQMIND experience. We are dedicated to constantly refining our testing and release processes to deliver the best experience possible.
Here are some of the key features of this release, followed by a detailed list of all the bug fixes and enhancements:
Useability Improvements
Remember state of modules
We’ve implemented a feature that remembers the state of a module. For instance, if you switch from assets to projects and back, the assets window will retain its state and display it as you left it. Similarly, if you search for a project, open it, and then close it, the search criteria will still be in place.
The system will remember:
The search settings (both quick and advanced search)
The quick filters
The sorting order
The active folder
No More Compression for Single File Downloads
Previously, DOQMIND compressed all downloads. While this was beneficial for multiple asset downloads, it wasn’t particularly useful for a single asset. We’ve now updated our system to no longer compress single asset downloads. This means you can open these files immediately without any additional steps.
Enforced File Names for Better PC and Mac Collaboration
In the past, DOQMIND didn’t impose any restrictions on the names of uploaded assets. This led to issues where files uploaded by Apple users couldn’t be downloaded by Windows users, or ZIP file downloads didn’t always work. With this release, we’re implementing file naming restrictions. When an asset is uploaded, the files are automatically renamed to ensure compatibility across platforms. You can find more information on this here.
Assets Improvements
Enhanced logs
The logs tab on assets has been significantly improved and now displays a wealth of information. Every action taken on an asset is logged and visible, providing a comprehensive audit trail. This enhancement ensures greater transparency and accountability.

Improvements on Baskets
In the assets overview, we’ve added a new column that indicates whether an asset is included in a basket. By clicking on the icon in this column, you can view a list of baskets that include the asset and access detailed information about each basket. This icon also appears when you hover over an asset in the grid view, making it easier to manage and navigate your baskets.

Additionally, basket information can now be consulted for archived baskets as well.
Other Asset improvements
In Assets, the email address of the approvers is now clickable. When clicking on an email address your email client will open and you’ll be able to send a mail to that person.
Asset notification mails now include the name of the asset for which an approval was requested
The basket information modal now contains the name of the basket
Projects Improvements
A number of improvements have been made in the Projects module.
Replicating projects & copying project templates
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to initiate a new project using the details of an existing one. This is achieved through the ‘replicate project’ function.

The ‘replicate project’ function creates a new project using the same template as the original, and pre-fills the metadata form with the values from the original project. Please note that only the template and metadata are replicated - assets and project statuses are not duplicated.
This new function supersedes the previous ‘clone metadata’ feature and is now accessible for all projects.
Additionally, duplicating a project template is now possible from the context menu in the template list.
Form Contents Now Visible in Approval Tasks
Previously, approvers had to navigate to the assets module to view the content of a project form. With this release, the form content is directly visible in the approval task execution, streamlining the approval process.
Markup in Task Descriptions
You can now enhance task descriptions with markup, allowing for clearer instructions and the addition of elements like lists or links.

Visibility of Project IDs
DOQMIND’s internal project ID is now displayed in the project metadata. This unique, automatically generated ID can be used to unambiguously identify a project. The ID can be used in searches, exports,… and has a customizable prefix. See here for more information.

Additional project improvements
The ‘export projects’ function now also exports the project metadata, as configured in the list view
Project administrator can now delete project, even if they are not the project manager
The ‘Active’ and ‘Busy’ project statuses have been merged into a single status at the project level. The two statuses remain available at the task level
Advanced search has been extended and now support searching on nr of days overdue
Duplicate entries in project databases are no longer allowed
In the projects asset tab, assets can now be downloaded if the project is completed. Previously, this was only possible for active projects
Administration
For administrators, we’ve made the following enhancements:
Only individuals with PM Admin rights can create and modify mail templates
DOQMIND now prevents the creation of new users with duplicate email addresses. Each user must have a unique email address
User rights have been reorganized for greater coherence
