Parallel approval

Objective

Parallel approval is a task that allows multiple parties to review and approve a document or task simultaneously. This feature streamlines the approval process. In a traditional approval process, each party must review the document or task one at a time, which can be time-consuming and delay the project timeline. With parallel approval, each party can review the document or task at the same time, greatly improving the overall efficiency. This feature is especially helpful in projects that involve tight deadlines or a high volume of approvals.

The Parallel approval task assesses if all of the connected approval tasks are completed. Only then will the connected approval tasks be evaluated. This will kick off the generation and start of the re-cycles. This is opposite of normal behaviour in an isolated approval, where a re-cycle is generated and started immediately after rejection. This continues until approval is achieved for all of the tasks included in the parallel approval. Only then will the parallel approval tasks itself automatically complete and let the project proceed further downstream of the parallel approval task.

Task

This is a completely automated task performed by DOQMIND. This means that there will not be a task presented to an actor. The actor chosen in the task configuration is only used for notifications.

Parameters

Simultaneous Approvals

This drop-down list presents all of the approval tasks that are directly connected, i.e. that are one step upstream, to the current task.
