Project management Rights

Internal users

The following is a list of Project Management rights availably in the Doqmind system. You might not see all of the rights bellow. You’ll only see rights that you have, and as an administrator/user manager you’ll only be able to propagate rights that you have to new/other users.

PM Rights are available for both internal and external users. External users only have access to folders that are shared with them.

Right	Description
View	This Projects right gives the user access to the Projects module. If this is the only Projects right given to a user, they will have a complete read-only view of the Projects module. Together with “View”, other rights can be assigned to a user to control exactly what they can and cannot do in the Projects module.
Administrator	This project right enables the user to manipulate all projects system-wide, including projects for which is not the owner or project manager. Specifically, this adds: The ability to change project manager, in a single action or in bulk The ability to change actor on tasks, in a single action or in bulk See all tasks from all projects in the tasks module Cancel projects Additionally, a Project Administrator can modify the email templates or create new custom email templates. A user is required to already have the rights “Actor” and “Owner” before they receive the “Administrator” right.
Owner	The project owner right allows a user to: List all projects Create new projects Change the name of a project View the tasks of a project View the assets assigned to a project Open the project folder on DAM (providing the user has the correct DAM rights). Cancel a project they project manager of A user is required to already have the “Actor” right before they receive the “Owner” right.
Actor	Users with the actor right are able to see and execute the tasks that were assigned to them. The actor right needs to be given to internal users if they need to participate in DAM approvals.
Create template	Users with the create template right can create templates. The ‘owner’ right needs to be given as well in order for this to work. Users with the create_template right can create the initial gantt chart, but they can not edit it after closing it. If you want users to be able to modify existing gantt charts in project templates, the view_gantt_chart right needs to be given as well
Change actor	“Change actor” allows a user to change the actors on tasks that have been assigned to them. This right requires the actor right.
View gantt chart	“View gantt chart” allows users to view and edit the gantt chart for projects or project templates. This right requires the view right.
Databasemanagement	Users with the databasemanagement right are able to create and manage databases and relations (see The database manager for more information)
Create forms	Users with the create_forms right are able to create and manage forms (see Forms for more information)
Edit form	Users with the edit_form right can edit Project Management forms directly from DAM. Users that have this right do need to have project management rights as well.
Edit Languageclusters	Users with the edit_languageclusters right can edit the language cluster settings used in text management (see https://doqmind.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DM/pages/72187925
Edit Languages	Users with the edit_languages right can edit the language settings used in text management (see https://doqmind.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DM/pages/72187925
Edit Masters	Users with the edit_masters right can edit the text masters used in text management (see https://doqmind.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DM/pages/72187925.
Delete own project	Allows a user to delete a project of which he is project manager.
Delete any project	Allows a user to delete any project in the system.

External users

External users can only be actor in Projects. Activate the Actor right for users that need to participate in projects.
